WRS Systems’ team rallies behind toy appeal
We were delighted to once again join the Isle of Wight community in supporting this year’s Isle of Wight Christmas Toy Appeal.
WRS Systems is delighted to show our support for another incredibly successful Isle of Wight Christmas Toy Appeal.
This year, the appeal reached an amazing £50,000 worth of toys thanks to the support of the Isle of Wight community.
The gifts will be distributed to less fortunate children for Christmas.
Our contribution included donating £4,400 worth of toys, taking our total to £18,000 since we started supporting the appeal several years ago.
Our team members also volunteered their time to help sort and distribute the gifts ready for wrapping.
David Jackson, WRS CEO, said:
“We are very proud to support this appeal. The success of the appeal demonstrates the power of the Island’s community spirit and as a well-established business on the Isle of Wight, it’s fantastic to play our part. We hope it goes some way to making Christmas special for our Island children and we look forward to continuing our support for many more years to come.”
Since the appeal was launched in 2013, 37,000 gifts have been donated to children of all ages, who would otherwise go without at Christmas.
These include young carers, children in hospital, youngsters who have been bereaved and those challenged by poverty and housing problems.
Thanks to The Entertainer, we were able to make more of our donation through various offers and discounts.
Claire John, Isle of Wight Radio Managing Director, said:
“WRS Systems has been a loyal supporter of the Isle of Wight Radio Toy Appeal for several years and we cannot thank them enough. Not only have they donated £18,000 worth of toys, their staff really get behind the effort to sort and pack the gifts. A huge thank you to everyone.”
